11. Can any soil type be used to manufacture Compressed Earth Blocks (CEB)?

No. Not all soil types have the same physical properties. Certain soil types are not conducive to this type of architecture. Laboratory tests are used to determine soil suitability. UDC will collect a sample of earth excavated 6 inches under the top soil on the site that will be used for soil harvesting and test it to identify its physical properties and workability for compressed earth block (CEB) fabrication.
