No. They are extremely dangerous to living organisms including humans and the environment.
Although, they will offer very high R-values and will help to increase the insulation
envelope to levels not obtainable with traditional “stick” construction, they are
not sustainable. It is possible to use friendly natural materials to obtain R-value
and thermo retention and shielding levels that are 5 times higher than these products
at 1/3 the price and can be completely recycled without any risk to living organisms,
humans or the environment. Refer to Question 32 for additional explanation.
