Steve Mueller

Mr. Mueller is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Design Consortium LLC (UDC). Mr. Mueller originally envisioned UDC as a Drafting service company and while he was attending Texas Tech University managed and ran the company employing his fellow Architectural students from the College of Architecture. As UDC grew and evolved into a Architectural Firm, Mr. Mueller expanded into offering Residential and Commercial Design-Build Services, now employing a staff of Architects, Engineers and Project Managers. Mr. Mueller completed his Architectural internship in 2008, after being training under Don Davis and Charles Pope, maintaining his professional architectural record both nationally and in Texas. Mr. Mueller is best known for his work in Low to Moderate Income (LMI) House design for community revitalization and development and creating the Universal Home™ design standard. Mr. Mueller’s work and publications have been featured in numerous professional magazines, podcasts, Internet discussion forums, syndicated television news programs and short films. Mr. Mueller is a Combat veteran of several wars, a volunteer firefighter, has two children, Autumn and Logan Mueller and serves on the board of directors for numerous for-profit and non-profit organizations.
